Hey cake lovers, it’s Annabel here, and what a start to the year it's been! We’ve had new launches, sold-out events, viral moments and a whole lot of deliciousness. Grab a cuppa (and maybe a cookie), and let’s get into everything that went down this month.
We kicked off the year with a bang – or should I say gong! Our Lunar New Year range was a massive hit and we couldn’t be happier with how much you all loved it. The Mandarin Brownies stole the show – think of them as a Terry’s Chocolate Orange but in gooey brownie form. Honestly, I’m still dreaming about them. Then there were our adorable auspicious cookie tins, which give off major Lunar New Year vibes – so festive and perfect for gifting. You snapped them up so quickly, we could barely keep up!
Oh, and let’s not forget the ‘Auspicious Minds’ event we hosted in collaboration with HOKO. The tickets sold out faster than we could say “good fortune,” and the event itself was such a triumph. Tasty food, an amazing lion dance, fab people and the best way to celebrate the Lunar New Year - together. If you were there, you know just how special it was!
The so-called “saddest day of the year” didn’t stand a chance against our latest GIANT Soho cake, which went viral! This time, we turned Blue Monday into Brûlée Monday with a giant Crème Brûlée Cake, and OMG, the queues were wild - you guys lined the street just to snag a slice of that caramelised goodness. We’ve had so many of you ask if this could become a regular thing – let’s just say, we’re working on it! What should we bake up next?
Speaking of Soho, January also saw the launch of our GIANT Fortune Cookies and wow, you guys love them as much as we do! These aren’t just any fortune cookies – crack them open and find prizes from some amazing brands like Edge of Ember, School of Wok, Ding Dong Dim Sum, Poons and so many more. The limited-edition run of these beauties has nearly sold out, so reserve yours quickly here because once they’re gone, they’re gone!
While January was all about Lunar New Year, we couldn’t help but get a head start on Valentine’s Day too. Our new range has already started dropping and you’re loving it! The Love Heart Cookie Pies are so dreamy – think gooey, chocolatey heart-shaped perfection. February is shaping up to be jam-packed and here’s a little sneak peek at what we’ve been cooking up. There's our Easter range and let’s just say it’s going to be egg-straordinary. We’ve also been crafting a special Ramadan and Eid collection, complete with thoughtful gift boxes and sweet treats designed to make your celebrations unforgettable. And don’t forget our Mother’s Day range, featuring elegant designs, spring-inspired flavours and a whole lot of love.
