Do you need to assemble the cake?
Cakes come readily assembled - no set up is needed! We secure your cake with a centre dowel to keep it safe during transportation. Once your cake arrives, simply slide it out of its box onto your cake stand, et voilà!
How is it displayed?
Our cakes come on a basic cake plate; you can just use this if you wish or slide it onto another cake stand.

Serves can vary between designs, and not all designs are available in every size. Sizes and serve info is available on each product page.

Please be advised that we take no liability if you wish to transport the cake yourself after it has been delivered to you by us. We also cannot accept any liability for damage sustained after the cake is collected from your designated collection point if collection is chosen instead of delivery.
We provide the following guidelines:
Please handle the cake with extreme care. Do not drop, swing or tilt the cake. We suggest for 2 people to carry a 3 or 4 tier cake by the bottom corners of the box.
The cake should be taken out at least 3-5 hours before you intend to cut it depending on the size of the cake. This is to allow the cake to return to room temperature and the buttercream to be soft like whipped double cream. This is extremely important so please ensure this guidance is followed and these instructions are given to anyone who will have responsibility over the cake. If the cake is cold, it will be hard and dry, which is of course not very tasty!
If you have purchased a 2, 3 or 4 tier cake, please be aware that hygienic plastic dowels will have been placed inside the cake and these should be removed before cutting the cake.
How long can the cake stay out for?
The cake can be on display for the whole day as long as the room is not above 25 degrees celsius. We would recommend if it is summer to place the cake away from direct sunlight. If you are having a summer outdoor wedding the cake can last up to 4-5 hours in higher heat but it will have to be monitored. The cake still needs to be kept out of direct sunlight.
