How would you describe the LILY & ROO aesthetic, and how does it translate into your wedding jewellery collection?
LILY & ROO is all about timeless, modern jewellery that feels effortless rather than overdone. Our bridal collection reflects that. What does 'non-traditional' mean to you when it comes to bridal jewellery, and where does it start and end?
For us, non-traditional means giving brides the freedom to choose jewellery that feels like them. Whether that's layering delicate necklaces, mixing pearls with modern silhouettes, or choosing minimal pieces over classic sets, there are no rules. The most beautiful bridal look is one that feels authentic and personal.
What are the biggest shifts you have seen in what brides are actually asking for over the last few years?
We've seen brides move away from buying jewellery they'll only wear once. More brides are looking for versatile pieces they can style throughout their engagement, honeymoon and everyday life after the wedding. There's also been a huge rise in personalised jewellery and modern pearls that feel fresh rather than traditional.
Is there a LILY & ROO piece that has become a quiet cult favourite among brides, something that keeps selling without being heavily pushed?
Our Five Pearl Bracelet has become one of those pieces. It's understated, elegant and incredibly versatile. Brides love wearing it on the day, but it's also become a piece they continue reaching for long after the wedding.
How do you approach the balance between a piece that photographs beautifully and one that feels good to wear for twelve hours straight?

Do you have a favourite way that a customer has styled a LILY & ROO piece for their wedding that you didn't expect?
We love seeing brides layer our pearl pieces with personalised necklaces or mix gold and silver together. Years ago this would have been considered unconventional, but now it creates a look that feels modern, personal and uniquely theirs.
The layered mini gold necklace feels very of-the-moment, so what was the thinking behind it and why do you think it has resonated so strongly?
We wanted to create something that bridged bridal and everyday styling. Brides love effortless layering because it adds interest without feeling too formal, and after the wedding it's a piece they can continue wearing with everything from knitwear to holiday outfits.
How do you think about jewellery in relation to the rest of the wedding look, is it the starting point or the finishing touch?
It's usually the finishing touch, but often the piece that brings everything together. The right jewellery complements the neckline, hairstyle and dress without competing for attention. It should feel considered, effortless and completely in harmony with the overall look.
What advice would you give someone choosing between gold and silver for their wedding day?
Choose the metal that makes you feel most confident and complements your skin tone. If you wear gold every day, your wedding day probably isn't the time to switch to silver just because it's traditional.
