As we wrap up an incredible year, we can’t help but reflect on the unforgettable moments and delicious creations that made 2024 such a special year. From exciting new launches to fun collaborations, our team has worked hard to bring you the best in sweet treats, gifts and everything in between.

 

Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from each month - we’ve had a blast!

 


  1. January

 

We kicked off 2024 with a BANG by celebrating the Lunar New Year with a collection that brought a fusion of flavour and good fortune. Our Mochi Brownies, delicate yet indulgent, stole the show, alongside our Pineapple Cake Bites - a nod to tradition and the perfect mouthful of fruity flavour.

 

Our Lunar New Year Hampers also went down a storm, perfect for gifting on to your loved ones!


  1. February

Love (and flavour) was in the air this Feb with our Valentine’s ‘Sweet Somethings’ Collection. Filled with luscious treats like our strawberry cheesecake brownies, dessert inspired selection box and irresistible Red Velvet Cake.

 

We loved seeing you share this range with your special someones’ - spreading sweetness in every sense!

 


  1. March

 

For Mother’s Day, we wanted to create a collection that celebrated all the incredible mums out there. The range featured classic cakes, like our zesty lemon drizzle cake and fruity viccy sponge, as well as a range of mother's day hampers with the perfect balance of sweet, savoury and sentimental. Your feedback was truly amazing, as our delicious, squidgy treats made mums all over the UK feel truly valued, special and totally spoilt - mission complete!


  1. April

 

April brought us one of our proudest moments of the year. We launched our Easter collection, which included everything from chocolatey Easter inspired brownies to our signature vegan Easter egg - a treat so good it earned #1 Vegan Easter Egg by Good Housekeeping. This recognition was egg-sactly what we hoped for - and more!


  1. May

 

In May, we took sustainability to the next level with the launch of our Zero Hero Brownies, handcrafted with deliciously wonky chocolatey treats. We saved Easter eggs that snapped, cracked or didn't quite make the cut during production (but still tasted 10/10) and transformed them into wickedly indulgent brownies.

 

It was a sweet and environmentally friendly way to keep the Easter spirit alive and you all went mad for it!


  1. June

 

For Father’s Day, we created a revolutionary sweet ‘n’ salty collection inspired by Daddy Lui himself - think pretzels in cookies and crisps in brownies.

 

We also launched our Cookie Bites, packed with all of the flavour and none of the guilt. Safe to say, they’ve been a smash hit as we’re now onto our 5th flavour (Carrot Cake) with plenty more in the pipeline!


  1. July

 

Summer in the UK wouldn’t be complete without a nod to Wimbledon, right?

 

So, in July, we launched the cutest Wimbledon Biskies, combining the best of tennis with the best of baking.

 

These edible tennis balls, infused with matcha, raspberry and pistachio, made for the perfect snack whilst watching the summer’s biggest sporting event - Game. Set. MUNCH.


  1. August

 

August saw a creative collaboration with the incredibly talented team at Black Lines. Together, we brought you a wonderfully summery treat, combining our zesty Lemon Drizzle Cake with a crisp glass of Hugo Spritz, making this gift a standout hit of the summer. Also, over on TikTok, our Wedding Cake Sample Box went VIRAL - with over 5 million hits! The problem was, the Wedding Cake Sample Box is only available in London - so we set to creating a nationwide version and the Squidge Cake Taster Box was born - the ultimate ‘treat yourself’ bake.


  1. September

 

This month marked a major milestone, our 10th Birthday!

 

We celebrated a decade of deliciousness with a very special anniversary collection - and we went BIG.

 

Featuring a birthday cake with 10 colourful layers for 10 amazing years (how poetic), this whopper of a slice was a true birthday masterpiece.

 

We also hosted a big birthday bash in our Soho store, surrounded by our nearest and dearest - thank you so much to everyone who came along, we had a blast!


  1. October

 

In October, something very amazing happened - we won online bakery business of the year at the baking industry awards!

 

With last year's winner Ocado, and Asda among the incredible competition, it was truly an honour to be recognised.

 

Over in Soho, we hosted our first ever Diwali event in collaboration with The Naked Laundry. Friends of the brand joined us for an evening filled with Diwali treats, Wild Chai tea, Gulab Jamun cupcake decorating and we even had a mehndi station. It’s safe to say, we had a blast!

 

  1. November

 

November brought a touch of indulgence with the limited edition launch of our Luxe Mixed Cookie Box.

 

Inspired by cult favourite cakes, these cookies were loved by you and everyone in HQ - we’re sad to see them go!

 

Waitrose also invited us to their annual Winter Food & Drinks Festival where we served up thousands of cookie bites and even hosted a cake decorating masterclass.


  1. December

 

As the year came to a close, we dove headfirst into the festive spirit with our Christmas Gifts 2024 Range! Our tasty hampers, showstopper cakes and unique festive creations captured the magic of Christmas in every bite.

 

We were even rewarded #1 Vegan Christmas Hamper by Good Housekeeping.

 

Over in Soho, we launched our Santa’s Letterbox giveaway, which you all loved! It was the perfect way to end the year - bringing sweet joy and the gift of gifting to our cake-loving community.



  1. Looking Forward, Looking Back

 

2024 has been an unforgettable year for us all, filled with growth, creativity, and (of course) plenty of sweet treats.

 

We couldn’t have done it without your amazing support, so thank you for being a part of our sweet story - roll on 2025!
