Iced Tea

There’s nothing more refreshing on a hot summer day than a chilled glass of refreshing iced tea. Brimming with the tangy goodness of passionfruit & lychee and the vibrance of oranges, this recipe is truly the spirit of the season, stirred up in a glass!

Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 jasmine green teabags
  • 1 litre/quart hot water
  • Ice
  • 200ml/generous ¾ cup Passion Fruit Syrup
  • 1 x 225 g/8 oz. can lychees, drained
  • 1 medium orange, cut into thin half slices

Serves 4

  • Brew the jasmine green teabags in hot water for 3-5 minutes. Remove the tea bags, pour the tea into a large jug/pitcher and leave to cool.
  • When the tea is cool, add ice to each serving glass, followed by 3 tablespoons each of passion fruit syrup, two lychees and two slices of orange. Top up the glasses with the cold jasmine green tea.
  • Add straws and serve.

This iced tea recipe is Annabel & Emily’s ‘revive ice tea’ and combines three of their favourite fruits, and stirs them with a chilled fragrant jasmine green tea base to stir up the perfect pick-me-up on a balmy day. This drink can be served as a mocktail, or if you’re looking for something stronger, throw in a dash of vodka, it tastes delicious either way.
