All things July…
Finally, some sunny weather! Over in HQ we’ve got the air-con on full blast (we’re just above the bakery!) and have been busy working on a sweet collaboration with Black Lines. They make the most delicious cocktails, using only the best ingredients - and when they launched their new Hugo Spritz serve we knew it needed a slice of Lemon Drizzle by its side.
And so the Hugo Spritz Duo was born - we’re so excited for this one. The gift set is online now, so if you’re in need of a gift that’s guaranteed to please, then order these zesty besties.
As the city heats up, we’ve been busier than ever in the Soho cafe. Maybe it’s our scones, maybe it’s the air-con blasting into the cafe keeping everyone cool. We’ll never know.
From 12th - 15th August we’ll be celebrating Afternoon Tea Week in Soho with sparkling tea brand Saicho, who supply deliciously refreshing non-alcoholic drinks on our online shop. We’ll be serving up a sparkling tea flight to pair with each level of our handcrafted afternoon tea. Neither of us drink that much so we’re looking forward to enjoying afternoon tea with some sparkling tea - it’s too hot for a cuppa at the moment.
Over in Annabel’s kitchen, we whipped up a summer bake with Thomas Straker’s new All Things Butter flavour, a totally tasty cinnamon butter. Everyone should give our vanilla, orange and cinnamon cake recipe a try - it’s so yummy and light!
It was Annabel’s birthday this month which means only one thing - an EPIC birthday cake. The bakery team surprised her with a huge mango and yuzu cake, all washed down with some bubbly from Emily. As a family we all headed out to our favourite restaurant, a la dads! Seriously though, as a chef our dad is only happy with his own cooking - and of course we’re more than happy to oblige.
